What's your poison?

At Bourne & Hollingsworth we take our drinks very seriously.

Bourne & Hollingsworth Bar, where it all began for us, features a mixture of twists on the classics as well as some party bangers to dance the night away. Reverend JW Simpson, despite only being around the corner from B&H Bar, is miles away from its light-heartedness; instead they shake up off-the-wall creations, featuring a combination of incredible ingredients and imaginative presentation. B&H Buildings, our Clerkenwell hub, takes a more natural and foraged perspective. And the launch of B&H Garden Room sees a new menu of sustainable, fresh and botanical drinks.

Bar Managers’ favourite cocktails

Bar Manager: Alistair

I would say the Pinkante (although picking a favourite cocktail is like picking a favourite child!)

Long, refreshing, citrusy with hints of fruit and spice. A very easy drinking cocktail with lots of flavour but also a low sugar cocktail, ticks all the boxes for me.

Gin Mare, Ancho Reyes, Fair kumquat liqueur, homemade pink grapefruit sherbet and Peychaud’s bitters topped with soda.

Bar Manager: Carlos

At B&H Bar we have an extensive menu of Old Fashioneds. Our house batched Old Fashioned cocktails are each tailored and perfectly balanced with specially selected bitters, citrus peels and unrefined sugars. My favourite is the ‘Aztec’ Old Fashioned, made with QuiQuiriQui Matatlan Espadin Mezcal. Perfect for the beginning or end of a great night out.

Bar Manager: Mickael

My favourite, and also our customer’s favourite, is the delightful ‘Decadence’. The name says it all really.

Smooth rich silky butter-washed Merlet Brother’s Blend cognac stirred with a homemade tonka bean & milk oolong tea liqueur. Pure indulgence.

Bar Manager: Davide

Rumble in the clouds is my favourite on the menu at B&H Garden Room: It’s Boozy - I like Rum - I also like pineapple - It has a great colour and garnish. Simple.

Rumble in the Clouds

A rummy and punchy mix of our house five-rum blend, fresh lime, pineapple, cranberry, peach liqueur and bitters and spiced falernum syrup. Santa Teresa Claro, Trois Rivieres Blanc, Skipper, Koko Kanu and Wray & Nephew overproof form the backbone of this gluggable grog.
