What's on at B&H Buildings
B&H Buildings: A beautifully timeless house that occupies, spiritually, an interzone where Laurel Canyon, the Hamptons, Cotswolds and Aix en Provence converge. With a surprise beam in from aristocratic Jamaica.
Our clerkenwell townhouse springs to life after a sleepy winter and May is one of our favourite months of the year. Two bank holidays mean our social lives get a revamp, the sun starts to poke out and warm us and towards the end of the month Clerkenwell plays host to Design Week where we celebrate the areas rich history with art and design.
Every Monday, Below & Hidden will be transformed into a zen, yet vibey, yoga heaven as we host an after-work Hatha yoga class designed for all abilities and levels, perfect for unwinding after a long day.
Tickets are £15 and include a post-workout drink.
Every Monday from 6.45pm
Drawing in the basement - Tuesdays
Art and hospitality have a long and glorious union. Bacon, Picasso and a host of others historically scribbled on napkins in exchange for food and, more importantly, drink. Whilst we don’t promise we will be pledging a lifetime’s eating and drinking in exchange for your works we are certain you will succumb to the contemplative and satisfying creative satisfaction of drawing with a drink close at hand.
We will be bringing in a gifted and eminent artist to guide you in the pursuit. The timeless alchemy of a hand, a pencil and paper. No sniggering at the live model! come on, we all know what the body looks like!
Every Tuesday – Drop In
Join us at Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings tonight for Live Fridays, a special B&H House Party with a live band from 6pm, after-work cocktails, street food and dancing ‘till dawn in our secret club room Below & Hidden.

A new cocktail menu
We often discuss, after closing time, what’s important about what we do. What is the real purpose. You know the conversations. You’re tired, you’ve had a couple of drinks and suddenly you channel the philosopher. It was cocktails that brought us here. That was the core impetus to all of this. The cocktail is still, possibly, our pet subject. We’ve seen trends come and go. We started quite a few of them! Classic cocktails, twists on classics, flavours of the month cocktails. You name it, we’ve tried it.
Like everything we do here, it looks easy and happy go lucky. You don’t see the endless hours of research and delicate alchemy that goes into every single one of them. The perfect cocktail is the mystery of 2 plus 2 equalling 5. It is more than the sum of it’s parts. It is the sign that lights up telling you that you’re entering happiness. Potent and pretty. Culturally significant even. If it wasn’t for cocktails we wouldn’t have F Scott Fitzgerald novels.
Elegant misbehaviour in a delicate glass.
And so, we bring you a new cocktail menu with 10 cocktails inspired by Clerkenwell.
